Ayam Roedjak/ Rujak

ingredients :


  • 500 grams of chicken with or without bone ( pan seared it first)

  • 3 tbs of tamarind juice

  • 2 bay leaves

  • 2 or more keffir lime leaves

  • salt to taste

  • 2 tbs palm sugar or brown sugar

  • 1 pcs of lemon grass bruise it first

  • 300 ml coconut milk

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 100 ml water

  • oil to fry


Ingredients to blend :


  • 4 pcs of candlenuts

  • 5 big chillies

  • 3 pcs shallots

  • 5 pcs garlics

  • little ginger


How to Cook :


  • cut the chicken into 6 pcs of how you want it

  • blend the ingrediends and saute it while adding bay leaves, keffir lime leaves and lemongrass

  • add the chicken and the water

  • when its boiling add the rest of the ingredients and wait till it reduce down and cook

  • enjoy


Ps : some people like it grilled afterit cook
